Summer ended as it began….at the beach. Although I am already setting unrealistic goals for myself, it feels good to be back in the saddle again. Now that everyone is in school, I have some time to get behind the sewing machine again and it feels great to be there!
I spent a good chunk of time working on a slide show for my brother’s birthday. It was fun to go back through the family photos, remembering all the wonderful times we had growing up in a family of six kids! Add some instrumental music, including “Brian’s Song”, and some pictures of my dad whom we all miss and it brought out a few tears in the group.
I started sewing some familiar items….
Annie and I are going to have a table at a craft show in two months. We are excited about the items we are making.
And I’ve got some other ideas brewing that I’ll be excited to share with you soon!
I hope the nip in the air puts a lift in your step!
PS. Damask fabric from Contemporary Cloth and coffee sack from Donkee House.
How exciting! I am doing a craft show soon as well. I am so nervous! I am loving the mini clutch and apron!
Thank you for the kind words, I am slowly getting back to my old self, I wish it would just happen faster!
I would be delighted to be a pattern tester and I am honored that you asked, it put a huge smile on face face, thank you!
I thought I left a comment on this post but I guess not. I like that first picture of the sky and water and your son (?), it’s gorgeous. It’s hard to believe summer is over. It finally warmed up here last week, and now it is cool enough for a light jacket at night. Good luck at the craft show! In my experience those are fun if you keep your expectations low. It’s hard to know what will happen.
ooo, I love the new stuff! But oh the end of summer is bitter sweet for me, I love dressing in Fall clothes, but I really do not enjoy winter any longer. UGH!
