A jacket, circa 1968, that belonged to my customer’s father. He was ready to get it out of the closet, but his wife was not so sure. It was tattered in spots, but was a generous size. I thought it would be fun to incorporate the leather sleeves. I barely had enough fabric! I cut the front and back to 18″ square and the leather to 3.5″ x 18″. I didn’t have enough leather to go longer, so I incorporated squares into the corners. On the front I used extra wool from the jacket. On the back, pieces of the rib trim.
And just for fun…..
Love this ~ so sentimental and functional too! Sigh … if only you were closer and I could take sewing lessons from you! You asked about my pressure cooker…I have had a normal style pressure cooker for a while and one night I saw this infomercial for this Power Pressure cooker XL. It takes all thought and worry out of pressure cooking because it has buttons and an internal timer for meat, soups, veggies, bean, rice etc. On top of that, you can use it to can, and it is a slow cooker too! (All for a hundred dollars) Everything I cook in it, comes out perfect in little to no time! You can buy it on Amazon too! NO, I am not getting a commission for this…I just like spreading the news when I find something that works these days! Have a great day, my friend!
