According to this list Cleveland ranks pretty high in cloudy days.  Not only do we get a lot of Lake Effect snow, but we get cloud cover.  I don’t mind the snow.  We have lots of fun sledding, skating and skiing.  But it would be nice to see the sun once in a while.  We’ve been averaging a couple hours per week (by my anecdotal evidence….)   So when the lack of sun starts to get me down, I look at my beach glass collection.

I’ve gathered quite a bit over the years and it reminds me of my walks on the beach, the sound of the waves, the sun on my face.  It reminds me of the promise that summer will come again.

I forgot to share with you one of the gifts I received from my sister-in-law for Christmas!  She bought this lovely bracelet  from the booth next to mine at the craft fair.   There were quite a few beach glass jewelry vendors at the craft fair – a natural result of being on Lake Erie!

I will never stop being fascinated by garbage-turned-art, especially beach glass.
