I often get interesting requests for custom blankets. I then wait to share them because they are gifts. This blanket was for a customer from Australia, I believe. It has been several years, now, and I never heard whether or not it was presented, so I think it is safe to share here.
My customer sent this collection of small squares which appear to be created by various fans of the group HAIM. Using the blocks, alone, would have resulted in a small quilt. So I worked with my customer to enlarge it.
I set this block apart.
I then added large borders using fun, chevron prints that my customer picked out.
Finally, I backed it with a polka dot fleece and used that to create a binding.
This was a fun project to create and I hope to add it to my gallery – when I can find the time to create a gallery for my website.
