Graduation season is in full swing! I’ve already attended two parties. This blanket is for my niece. It is the hodge podge style. It has a nice, soft, furry backing like the one I made for Annie last year. It amazes me that even though I have been making T Shirt quilt blankets for a number of years, my customers manage to come up with new design twists and variations. You will see a few of those in this long post!
I also appreciate my return customers. This blanket is for a second child. It is also a hodge podge style but has a fabric border around the outside edge. It also has a few photo blocks. My customer uploaded photos to Vista Print and had them printed on T Shirts. She then washed those before sending them to me.
This one is backed with black sweatshirt fleece.
‘Now, moms, they are the best. Sometimes I think these blankets are more for them! On this 25 block blanket you will find mostly sports shirts and a few shirts from elementary days. And, a pair of boxers. Yes, boxers!
And then you have the mom who throws in a few, sweet, baby memories.
I like this blanket which is a 12 block with a contrasting intersection in the sashing fabric.
Finally, this 12 block blanket was for my cousin’s daughter. The hues of the shirts were mainly green, black and grey. Annie convinced me that the chevron would work and I love how it turned out!
Since she is going to Cincinnati and I had this bag in stock, she also got a sweatshirt tote!
Graduation season is such an exciting time of year. I felt oddly strange not having any graduations to plan this year. Last year I had a college grad and a high school grad so it is a relief. It is still a very busy sewing period for me, so I am trying to work steady to meet my deadlines. I truly appreciate your patience!
I love the photo idea-how clever! You have been busy Jane, they all look beautiful!
