This oversized beach blanket and tote was sent out to California last week and has been already been used a number of times!
I can’t seem to capture the beauty of the fabrics outdoors. I still have so much to learn as far as photography goes. Here are the fabrics I selected for my customer who wanted coral tones. I used a turquoise as a contrast. The cotton fabrics were purchased from Hawthorne Threads.
I made an oversized tote with a monogram.
I haven’t made it to the beach yet and it is already July 1st! We’ve had some nice days and then some rainy days. It’s best to stay out of the water for two days after a heavy rain due to contamination from sanitary sewers (yuk.) I have been using my blanket at some of my son’s baseball games.
I love it! You can see more (washed out) photos of my blanket here. I used some of Jennifer Paganelli’s fabrics from Hawthorne Threads.
I was really excited that Jennifer Paganelli has a new line of fabrics called Jenny Eliza that is being sold at Joann’s! I went yesterday and purchased 10 1/2 yard cuts out of 12 bolts of this line of fabric. They are so pretty and I’m going to use them to make another beach blanket. This one will be raffled off at our annual family reunion!
Have you made it to the beach yet?
