Some time ago I shared a method of quickly cutting watermelon into small serving sizes. I use the above method to cut up the watermelon for snacking and serving with meals or picnics. I simply cut the watermelon in half, cut around the inside edge as deep as I can, cut slices every inch, and rotate 90 degrees and cut slices again. I then take a spoon and scoop out the cubes of watermelon.

Wow! Great tip. I avoid big watermelons because they are a bit intimidating. Now I’ll have to give it a try.
