I recently completed a baby quilt. It’s a custom job for my niece who is giving it as a shower gift. I had some shirts and backing fabric leftover so I thought I’d make a T Shirt Ribbon Blanket.
Why are all the neat things invented after your kids are too big to use them? These taggie blankets were not around when my kids are little, but how clever they are! Babies love to play with the tags on blankets, so someone created a blanket with nothing but tags!
I used all kinds of ribbons and tags and a super, cuddly, soft minky-type fabric for the back.
Although not required to use dad’s T shirts, I think it’s a great way to involve dad in the excitement of a baby shower and upcoming baby’s birth!
I was limited on the size of this one so I created a simple cloth that can be used as a burp cloth.
It is not difficult to make, but you can download the tutorial here.
Happy to share over on Yes, Teacher!
How fun! I’d love to try this 😉
