Some random sewing…..his and hers aprons that I gave to my niece for a shower present. I hope they are getting good use out of them!

A drawstring bag for a little girl who is heading to Disney so she can carry her water bottle and a few snacks.  I made a headband, too!

I entered the Sew Unique contest at Joann’s via Facebook.  You are supposed to make something using their utility fabrics. Designer Christopher Straub makes an interesting dress out of nylon.  I, being the practical gal, decided to make something “utilitarian.” You’ve seen my mini mesh bags that I use for collecting beach glass. I made this one with a strip of nylon and gave it to my husband who claimed he was the “shoemaker’s husband with no shoes…”

I’m back to my queue of custom sewing projects and carefully planning my schedule before Christmas.  I am certain that I will be closing my custom orders, so if there’s any thought about ordering a memory blanket as a gift, please contact me asap.
I haven’t thought about any gifts that I will personally make for family and friends.  I have been thinking about sewing a wool coat now that the weather has turned brisk.  I also have some fun tutorials in mind as well as a review of my new sewing machine (which is over a year old), and a review of my steam press to share.
I hope that you are finding some time for your craft!
