My niece got married a week ago and I wanted to give her a special gift. No, it’s not silver, but something practical, and pretty, I think! It’s a huge beach blanket – 6 feet x 7 feet! It’s big enough to keep your feet out of the sand. I like to think of it as big enough to fill with lots of kids!
Annie’s friends took a few moments out of their backyard fun to model for me.
I will share a tutorial soon on how to make this blanket. I offer a custom beach ensemble in my shop (for a ridiculous price, I might add! Snarkiness added because of someone’s comment about the cost.)
I added an oversized tote in duck cloth.
Stay tuned for the tutorial! Happy beaching!
It’s lovely! What a nice gift! I bet everyone that knows you gets excited for your gifts. 🙂
That’s a fabulous gift and the QUALITY — OH MY! I don’t think you can find anything of better quality on the market from the pics I saw in your shop. And this is coming from a “non-beach” lover so to speak, but I wouldn’t mind having a set like this in the future.
Wonderful gift! I bet it will be cherished more than silver!
Hope you are doing well. I’ve been away for a week. It’s nice to come home and see your beautiful creations!
Hi Jane,
This is a really cute project!!! I loved it so much, because gives me same ideas about recycling some old beach blankets I have. I love king size ones! Thanks for sharing.
