In between all the life that was happening these past two months, there was a little bit of sewing. I’ve been sharing the graduation blankets but today I want to show you some of the other items I have made.
As a custom sewing studio, I like to think that I am different than my competitors in that I am willing to work directly with my customers to create what they envision. Often, my customers give me the freedom to pick out the fabrics and colors, but if they want to have that choice, I guide them through the process.
This pillow was a large varsity or letter jacket. I used the snaps as the closure so no zipper was necessary! I added a blue border fabric for interest and made the pillow case 24″ square.
I have also been making a lot of sets of sea shell bags. You can order them in a set here.
Here are some of the fabrics I have available.
I was thrilled to be invited to a baby shower. I didn’t have time to make a Daddy T Shirt Blanket but I had to make something! So I whipped up a little Taggie blanket.
Another customer wanted an oversized tote, but downsized by 3″ in all directions. She also wanted belt handles. I found a few braided belts which are a bit softer. She selected a heavyweight canvas (14 oz) from fabric.com. I love how it turned out!
I’ve had quite a few requests for memory pillow cases made from shirts.
See our new deck furniture? We’ve had some nice times on our deck relaxing on our furniture. I really wanted a full-length couch, but they were too expensive. With our deck elevated and the trees so leafy, we feel like we are in a tree house!
This is a pillow case for a body-pillow-sized T Shirt Memory Pillow. Mom said her son was thrilled and now her other 5 boys want one!!!
I’ve made a few monogrammed oversize beach bags.
This blue one is heading off to California with this gorgeous beach blanket, but that will be a separate post!
As always, if you are interested in having me make something, just contact me. I’d be happy to work with you!
