I’m pretty sure I’m the luckiest girl alive! After 20 years of marriage, my husband managed to surprise me with this amazing gift he made.
It will be mounted on the wall in our craft room/office. He wondered why I was so thrilled with this gift. I told him it was the complete surprise of it all. After all, a girl loves a surprise (even if I’m a few needles lighter.)
There was much crafty-giving this Christmas and I can’t wait to share with you some of the many lovely gifts that were shared among us. It was not all crafty and I was quite spoiled with many lovely gifts, including the Colin Firth version of Pride and Prejudice and Earth, Wind, and Fire’s Greatest Hits CD from my daughter and son, respectively.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and can enjoy some quiet, family time.
That is so incredibly cool! What a talented husband.
Retro modern at it’s best. Love it! Very creative! Keep that guy!!!!!!!
That clock is great! What a wonderful gift from your husband. You are very lucky.
I’m a big Colin Firth fan, too :o)
Oh wow! That’s so fabulous! It reminds me so much of some of the clocks I’d see in my grandparents’ houses from the 40’s – 60’s. I love it that he made it himself, too. It’s just awesome. Found you via PEAR, adding you to my Google Reader. 🙂
Jane, I am SO jealous!!! I would absolutely love to have a clock like that. I may just make one for myself. 🙂 Awesome gift! Give your hubby two thumbs up from me.
This is perfectly PEAR! 🙂 We love it!
I love the clock! It reminds me of tinker toys…
This clock is so wonderful!! It reminds me of the Sputnik lamp that was in my parent’s house when we first moved in (which would have been infinitely cooler had it been made out of knitting needles)!
This is most definitely the coolest clock ever!!!
Your new clock brings back memories of clocks owned by aunts and uncles many years ago. That it is made of knitting needles totally adds to its charm.
I think your husband could sell a bunch of these on Etsy or Ravelry if he wanted to create a sideline for himself. I could definitely see yarn store owners wanting one!
oh wow! you lucky lucky girl, that is just fabulous, and just the perfect gift for the knitter!
Oh WOW is this awesome! I may need to borrow this idea… What a great gift and even better that it was a surprise!
LOVE the clock!
good clock .. really amazing .
