“Thank You”
First, thank you to my friend Barbara for knitting me this adorable Christmas Tree dishcloth! My heart skips a beat when I receive a hand knitted gift – because, as a knitter, I appreciate the thought, time and yarn that goes into a project. I am putting it to good use this holiday season.
Thank you to my dear blog readers and blog friends. It’s amazing that a network of friends can develop through the internet, but I am glad to have met so many wonderful, creative, funny and inspiring people! I want to thank you for taking the time to read and/or comment on my blog. I am hoping to visit your blogs during the holiday!

This entire plate disappeared after dinner! Annie’s Rice Krispy Treats shaped as balls taste so good! |
Thank you to Annie, my 14-year-old daughter and right-hand woman in the house! On top of creating every single one of her own presents, she helped her younger brother with some of his handmade gifts. She has also been cleaning the house, baking, decorating and managing her siblings.
I am so thankful that my family is together. My son is home from his first semester of college and I have been enjoying wonderful music in the house.
Although I didn’t create as many handmade gifts as last year, I am thankful that I was able to work with my hands and create. I love this coffee sack fabric basket I made for my son’s girlfriend! I am going to make something similar for me to hold my yarn next to the couch.
Thank you to my husband for supporting my creative endeavors. He is a true partner. He bought me a new sewing machine! It was a win-win….he didn’t have the stress of shopping and I got to pick out a new machine. I will share the details with you in a future post but I’ve put my first miles on it already!
This period of time is a wonderful time to gather with family, friends, and loved ones. It’s also a time of reflection. The New Year gives us a chance to hit the “reset” button. On top of the usual organizing projects I hope to tackle, my mind is brimming with new ideas of things I want to create and I look forward to sharing the journey with you.
So, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Thank You!

I wish you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
