I decided that my teen daughter needed some wool. The girls walk around the house in cute little camis and tees and then complain that they are “cold.” “Wear wool!!!” is always my answer.
I thought a wool vest would be just the answer. She could throw it on top of a tee to keep her warm. Plus, next year she’ll be in college and that means walking in the elements. She’ll need more layers.
I “met” a designer from Norway on Twitter and decided to buy her Nordic Rose pattern. I’m still a relative newbie when it comes to color work but this is a fun, quick project to make for a beginner. The Ravelry details are here.
The shop is called The High North and you’ll find lovely patterns and handmade items.
This capelet was featured in Vogue Knitting!
Her blog is here.
It felt good to complete a knitting project. I am now working on some striped socks using Knit Picks yarn. I’m glad to have some socks on the needles. My other winter projects will have to be dug up. I have a vest and cardigan and shawl to finish! I will NOT start something new…..
Lovely. What a great job you did! I love Eline’s work. She’s amazing.
Very cute! And it’s a great fit.
So gorgeous! Came out so great. The brown and teal/blue is one of my favorite color combinations.
What a lucky girl to have a nice mum to knit her beautiful sweaters! 😉
