Along with one of my recent quilt blankets came pieces of a varsity jacket. My customer cut the parts out that she wanted me to include in a memory pillow. Previously, I have used fabric borders around the square, but the main piece was too wide to add a fabric border. Vertically, however, the fabric was too short to make an 18″ pillow.

She also asked that I use white and red wool for the fabrics. It was hard to match the reds, so I simply bought white wool felt. I added a small strip to the top and bottom and then used the white for the back.

I stitched the patches on the front and back. (I put one of my dark pillows inside for the photo, but a regular pillow form won’t show.)
