Phew!  It’s been a blur over here at Maiden Jane.  I’ve had some good luck with some blog contests out there.

I was delighted to win this wonderful sewing book from Jackie.  It is sure to be a valuable resource for both me and Annie.  Thank you!

I was also fortunate enough to win a $25 gift card to Macy’s over at Stylestance Daily.  Style is definitely something I need to work on.

This past weekend, my two youngest were involved in a wonderful production of Music Man, Jr.  It is the 8th and final musical for our junior high, as our school is consolidating with another school.  It was fun, energetic, and emotionally draining at the same time.

Meanwhile, I represented the family at the high school fundraiser.  I had a lovely time.  The entertainment was provided by my older kids.  The first hour included some lively jazz by my son on piano and his girlfriend on sax.  The dinner hour included some piano music by my daughter and accompaniment to her music director’s lovely singing.

My donated t-shirt quilt made $215 on a silent auction bid!

I wore my red, silk stole and ventured into the photo booth with my daughter.  Sheesh, that thing took off wrinkles, grey hair, rosacea, pounds, and years!  This is definitely not the lady that I see in the mirror every morning.  I need to get myself a photo booth!

I won these beautiful handcrafted wine corks.

Our dear friends scored Notre Dame/Michigan football tickets, a large pizza EACH WEEK for a YEAR!  (My kids will be so sick of pizza….), and a pizza and wings party for 8 at their school.  Thanks Karen and Bob!!!

Just because life has a way of reminding me that none of us can be too lucky, on the way home from this fun evening, my darling daughter hit the wall while pulling into the garage…..TEENS…..and I have two more behind her.  Will I survive????
